NLP Enterprises, Inc. was founded in 1968 by Robert McDaniel and Monty Blick as a family owned and operated commercial painting company. NLP went from paint crews of two and three painters to having the manpower and expertise to handle any size project in the Mid-Atlantic region.Today, NLP remains a family owned and operated commercial painting business with Mark McDaniel as President and many second generation family members actively managing the company. NLP is fortunate to have the support staff of long term dedicated and experienced employees who continue to be an integral part of the “family” business and contribute significantly to our continued success. Each employee in our estimating and field management teams has at least 20 years of industry experience to service our client needs. All our employees continue to provide the highest level of customer service, quality, and expertise to our clients and vendors. We have built the company into what it is today by holding true to “our word is our bond”. In doing so, NLP has finished over 3,000 projects in over 50 years of business without ever being supplemented to finish the job.
NLP is a fully insured, bonded, and licensed commercial painting contractor in Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, West Virginia, and Delaware. We have invested a lot of time and resources into our safety department to ensure our company is compliant with all local, state, federal, OSHA laws, and safety of our employees. Our investment has resulted in high retention with an average employee tenure of 17.5 years. We will continue make investments in training and education to ensure our employees remain as safe as possible at all times.NLP is doing all it can to encourage interest in our trade and industry due to the labor shortage within the construction industry. Our apprenticeship program gives individuals with little to no painting experience an opportunity and roadmap to a successful and long-term career in commercial painting.
