Who you work with is just as important as the services offered. The Bay Country Painters team features some of the most skilled painters around, and we have the experience to prove it. Since 1983, we have built and maintained a reputation of excellence in the painting industry. Many of our craftsman have worked with us for over 20 years. We truly care about our employees, our customers, and everyone who will enjoy the finished products we create.
Our founder, Mike McGurk Sr, started the business when he was only 17. Between his junior and senior year of high school, Mike began working for a painting company, J. K. Trader Contracting, during the summer of 1983. By the end of the summer, Mike asked his best friend and classmate, John Engblom, to partner with him and John Trader and start their own painting company. John Trader continued as a partner in the new venture for about 18 months. John Trader went on to become an Anne Arundel County Paramedic. Through the years, Bay Country Painters has become a well-known employer and service provider in the Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, and other Chesapeake Bay regions of Maryland.
